I am interested in terpenes. Love the scent of an fresh new stash, trying to detect the notes deep under the strong top notes. What are they? What do they mean?

So I have a steam distiller, probably misguided, might make a bit of wonderful bud into just THC with no character, who knows.

I am setting up to grow a few plants, with the mind to capturing the scent of the flowering buds. Maybe with MCT or something? Like, 'poppa's fat' as described by Jitterbug Perfume.
